I've been there on both sides of the falls, US, and Canada. People that attempted this feat where just flat out nuts in my opinion, I would rather have hand to hand combat with a 800 lb. Tiger than do this.

My Wife and I have been to Niagara Falls also 43 years ago for our honeymoon , there is no way I'd go over those falls. We stayed on the Canadian side and went on the Maid of the mist, the caves behind the falls and even a helicopter ride over the Falls. As far a combat with a Tiger, in Vietnam We actually had a tiger that was by within 40 feet of our bunker post, He didn't pay any attention to us. He was huge, I'd guess the 800 lbs may be correct for this tiger. After He passed, I turned to the guy on post with Me and said, "I guess He already Ate !" We kept watching the trees for the rest of the night and hoped He didn't come back, Yes We were nervous. We each had M16 and also a M60 on the post but they are pretty quick. I hoped We could react quickly enough if We had to, glad We didn't have to find out !

I have to totally agree although I'm not so sure about messing with a Tiger.

Having been to the falls a few times, I can vouch for just how daunting a feat this was. The power of that water is awe inspiring!

Lt Col Charlie Brown, when my family went to Niagara Falls for vacation one summer, I heard tales of people going over the Falls in a barrel. At the time, I thought it was just a ‘tall tale’.
