Americans are so damn entitled and selfish it's ridiculous. (Don't say that on Facebook though - you'll get a timeout. I did anyway).

So many other countries have followed guidelines and listened to science and were able to open up things much sooner than we have.

My six year old wears a mask for most of 10 hours a day at daycare - minus when she eats or drinks from her water bottle I'm sure. She never complains. She never throws a fit.

I wear mine wherever I have to whether the commissary, other buildings on base, when I have to give a brief I wear it. I don't have to in my office since we aren't in cubicles and all spread apart by kind of our own office space within the office.

I wear it where I need to wear it and it isn't the end of the world.

My brother has asthma and wears it while working as a mechanic for his state. No complaints. No issues.

It just really boggles my mind why this country has so many people who just feel so entitled to do whatever the hell they want.

When the US falls, it's not going to be a foreign entity. It's going to come from within. We're going to destroy ourselves.

Every great civilization has done the same thing. Use the Roman Empire as an example.

The fall of the Western Roman Empire was the process of decline in the Western Roman Empire in which the Empire failed to enforce its rule, and its vast territory was divided into several successor - Nations, cities, or even churches.

The Roman Empire lost the strengths that had allowed it to exercise effective control over its Western provinces; modern historians suggest factors including the effectiveness and numbers of the army, the health and numbers of the Roman population, the strength of the economy, the competence of the Emperors, the internal struggles for power, the religious changes of the period, and the efficiency of the civil administration.

Sound familiar? It's almost as if they will write this about us 20 years from now. "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." This phrase is only about 50 years old and here we are doing exactly as it suggests.

Suppression of thought is a big step towards communism. Just like Sal Alinsky (spelling error is mine) wrote.

Saul Alinsky and you are correct. It's one of his rules. Make the people reliant on the government.

Exactly right. They don't but most of us comply so we don't start a tussle...as soon as I am out of the store, off it comes.
