Agreed. My personal feelings on this, and my advice to my students while I was an instructor, has always been DON"T unholster it unless you need to use it! Brandishing can be a crime in itself. Do NOT give a "warning" shot either, more legal ramifications besides potentially hitting something or someone unintended.

This is why we need more mandatory classes before issuing carry permits. I know the Constitutionalist argue we do not need anything to carry but that attitude while maybe correct, gets people into trouble with local laws.

The laws vary so much from state to state, I agree classes should be mandated. Primarily said because of how I see people drive, believe it or not. People usually drive daily and STILL CANNOT abide by the simple traffic laws. Carrying a firearm is very serious business, and safety needs to be driven home.(No correlation intended, lol), it seems people's attention span, or their immediate attention is so short nowadays. The way I see people drive, I surely don't want them carrying a sidearm without some training.

Amazing how minds can be so easily manipulated, the same has happened under foreign regimes.

We have the right to make good decisions and bad ones. Brandishing is a bad one. The problem with rights is you still have to be accountable for your choice. To many forget that part.
