A1C Michael Allen I am right there with you Michael. You have a very clear understanding of California voting and that's refreshing to read. Often times I feel like I'm preaching to people that really don't want to read it. But you in fact nailed it. Those of us that are conservative have little to no say in our own State. A friend of mine is running for the 49th Assembly District and he keeps losing but he keeps trying. He's going up against a Chinese businessman that has had the office for a long time and since Southern California has a very large concentration of Chinese he'll never win. I have no disrespect for the Chinese either. I think some of their women are the prettiest I've ever seen. I believe in all of God's people sharing the Earth. Legally of course.

I'm on my second career it'll take me until the day I die. My ex-wife didn't want to move and leave her family but since we're divorced and the kids are grown I can go anywhere I want. Neither of my children live in the state anyway. I'm looking at Tennessee. A small little town where the crime rate is 2.7%. My money would also go further because of the cost of living. Lower fuel cost. Lower housing cost. Just lower everything. The only thing I would truly miss would be the snow. I love the Four Seasons up here in the San Bernardino Mountains. They're not quite Maine in Autumn with the beautiful golden brown leaves that you can see as you fly into Bangor. But they'll do.

I wanted to do this years ago but for the reasons I stated above I couldn't. Tennessee is still a Republican state although with people leaving California in droves they're bringing their liberal values with them. Even Texas is looking purple now. That's because they're moving to cities like Dallas and Houston and San Antonio. Major population centers! We, the little people, the ones that really make the world go around, lose more and more of our see each year.

I absolutely cannot believe that our country is considering going to socialism and throwing away a constitution that has served us very well for 231 years. So well that people want to come here illegally. We must be doing something right. Socialism has failed in every country that has tried it so what makes us think we could make it work? Just look at Venezuela that used to be known as the crown jewel of South America. Now people around the streets begging for scraps of bread while the dictators sucks up all their oil money.

SSG Samuel Kermon Hawkins County Tennessee. There are counties around it that have equally low crime rates and nice Neighbors. In my military service I enjoyed being stationed in the South although I'm not sure we can consider Tennessee the South. A minor detail. I might have to import snow. I'm not used to being a flatlander. Living in the mountains of Southern California where we have the four seasons, this is the view from my balcony. It's going to be difficult to give it up.

The sad part is that I agree with you. It doesn't matter which party is in control. What happened to We, the People? What happened to a representative government where we send them to Washington to do our bidding? I have a dream. I have a simple dream. Give me this cabin next to a beautiful Lake and a supermarket down the street because I don't fish or hunt LOL and I'll be happy.

The politician that does have self interest at heart goes back to the private sector quickly.
