You can only do so much as an instructor. The rest is up to fate and the soldier.its not easy to accept and I can't imagine how you feel, I just hope you can find peace in your heart knowing you trained them as well as you could.

Oh no I'm not blaming myself for the incident. I'm more upset at the manner in which they died, the fact that I interacted with them but don't remember and that we were all a part of the 101st. Deaths in your organization often hit harder than those outside.
