This is going to leave a mark on Apple's reputation (even if they were perfectly and legally justified to refuse assistance to the FBI). We wouldn't have been misled by the false narrative that the assailant was simply motivated by some personal problem...

Lets face it, unless Apple was hit by terrorism from all sides, they wouldn't give out their encryption secrets for fear of clones.
