No one was suggesting a hypodermic full of disinfectant. They were talking about a range of topics including natural light, UVA light and disinfectants and the effect they have on the life of the virus. Trump even asked Dr., Birx if she was aware of injecting light to disinfect the body (lungs). Here is a video showing this procedure.

That’s not really a thing yet. Here’s the conference call from Tuesday that’s introducing it.

Here’s a key bit:
“Upon authorizations by FDA, we'll be in a position to move quickly to get an initial quantity out and start to scale and for those of you who may have questions, the criteria for emergency use of medical devices as published by the FDA are as follows. Number one, the patient has a life threatening condition that needs immediate treatment. Number two, no generally acceptable alternative treatment for the condition exists and number three, because of the immediate need to use the device, there's no time to use existing procedures to obtain FDA approval for use. Based on the above the Healight device is an appropriate candidate for such use.”

It is a new therapy being tested and peer reviewed now. It is a known treatment being developed using known treatment approaches, that being that UV light can kill viruses. So you combined UV light with a catheter in an intubated patient. The light in the catheter kills the virus in the patient. They are essentially injected with light. It will be approved by the FDA most assuredly.

Capt Gregory Prickett - Milksop, Except that isn't what he said. The only moron is the one that listens to the media and laps it up like a kitten at the milk bowl.
