Dr. Fauci reminds me of a doctor/scientists in a Sci-Fi movie that nobody wants to listen to until things get really bad.

Exactly.....then they look back and say we should have listened to him. Trump didn't listen to the medical experts early on....then started listening to them when things got bad....but now his companies are losing money, so it's time to tune out the medical folks again. This is what passes for leadership in Trump world.

who does the kkk support today? donald "lying fucking" trump.
obama is a racist? your ignorance is truly on display!
it goes to prove, just because someone made some high rank in the military, doesn't necessary make them smart. with enough ass kissing, time in rank/time in grade, they will get that promotion.

SPC Robert Conway - https://thehill.com/opinion/campaign/402754-the-myth-of-nixons-southern-strategy
From the Article:
And how many racist Dixiecrats did Nixon win for the GOP? Turns out, virtually none. Among the racist Dixiecrats, Strom Thurmond of South Carolina was the sole senator to defect to the Republicans — and he did this long before Nixon’s time. Only one Dixiecrat congressman, Albert Watson of South Carolina, switched to the GOP. The rest, more than 200 Dixiecrat senators, congressmen, governors and high elected officials, all stayed in the Democratic Party.

The myth of Nixon’s ‘Southern Strategy’
The conservative appeal to patriotism, anti-communism, free markets, pro-life and Christianity had more to do with the South becoming Republican than anything related to race.

Maj John Bell Why is an opinion piece in the Hill supposed to matter to me? There is a graphic recording of Lee Atwater admittingto it.

SPC Robert Conway - Atwater was not a campaign advisor to Nixon. At the time of Nixon's 1968 Presidential run Atwater was a 17 year old high school kid. He can't "admit" to anything. All he can do is offer his opinion.
You keep talking about an en masse defection of powerful Democrats to the GOP. Of more thn 200 powerful Southern Democrats who formed the dixiecrats in 1948, two and only two became Republicans. The was no en masse defection. It is a myth. You attack the source but go silent on the facts, which you cannot refute with evidence.
