Thank you, my friend Sgt (Join to see) for posting the link to the CDC.gov site.
Here is an email my medical doctor classmate [SOCOM] Aerospace and Dive Physician
>> Contrasted to influenza, due to our vaccination program and being able to easily identify who is infectious (due to Overt well known symptoms), as a society we don’t have to worry as much about massive spikes of patients, and the influenza case fatality rate , CFR, is lower than C19 currently is (though the C 19 CFR will lower over time for a host of reasons), so severely ill patients trickle into medical systems and since our medical personnel are vaccinated, they can normally care for influenza patients without extraordinary precautions.
Hope this helps.

Note the cases “hockey stick” graph to better understand the potential to overwhelm our medical capacities. Since our testing capacity now is minimal (but should rapidly ramp up in a few weeks), the conservative estimate is that for every known case there are likely 5-10 asymptomatic spreaders Already in the population. If each of them infects 5-10 others, and so on, it doesn’t take long for the virus to be uncontrollable.
