Responsibilities:
Works with outside contractors on facilities and equipment repairs.
Will be expected to learn new technologies and capable of grasping concepts of same.
Must have excellent mechanical aptitude.
Ability to work with minimal supervision when needed.
May be involved in other activities such as meeting room preparation, mail deliveries, waste paper recycling and inter-office transportation.
Qualifications:
Successful candidate will be well-rounded in industrial, mechanical and electrical skills. Candidate will also possess repair experience and knowledge of a broad range of complex facility systems.
This position requires excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to perform complex technical tasks.
Primary duties include maintaining the conveyor system and keeping equipment functioning properly and smoothly without disruptions.
Troubleshoot any arising issues with the system and other building concerns as needed.
Able to troubleshoot conveyor system, electrical issues, PLC, pneumatic issues, automated picking module (OPEX), strappers, wrappers, case erectors, maintenance, modifications and a wide variety of challenging electronic and electro mechanical systems in a distribution environment.
Provide electrical support for all facility systems and equipment including but not limited to conveyors, printers, strappers, compressors and other automated technologies.
Demonstrate skills in all phases of facility maintenance including mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
Self-starter in new system and equipment learning and training.
Ability to lead train other facilities assistants. Communicate and maintain relationships with vendors.
1+ years facilities engineering experience
Some knowledge of facilities engineering; Oral and written communication skills, visual acuity, and manual dexterity.
Ability to navigate basic computer.
Software as it relates to the position.
