That's a 'Pipe Dream' alright. Especially since the motor didn't hydra-lock after that last wave.
There is a sport in Michigan's Upper Penninsula the 'Yoopers' play with their snowmobiles.
They get a running start on the ground or ice-covered lake then using the momentum create, try to move as far as they can across the water to either other ice or the shoreline. This is generally done in the summer but can also happen when they get bored during the winter. There are a number of snowmobiles unable to be recovered at the bottom of some of the lakes in that area.
