I often wonder if advances like these are really better. If we have them, and our enemies have them, does anyone come out ahead? Or have we merely created more terrifying ways to kill each other? That being said, even 2050 seems a bit optimistic, especially if a sweeping healthcare change happens like a single payer system which will likely slow innovation and adaptation of new biotechnologies.
