PO1 John Johnson
Because that's New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy and that shit-eating grin is there because he thinks he's got it figured out.

What really worries me is that there is very clearly a divide between the law, and legislators. Laws are supposed to defend the rights of the innocent...punish the guilty...and encourage order within society. The current state of affairs seems to be one in which the law is manipulated to make felons out of the innocent...exonerate the guilty (when financially/politically desirable)...and possibly use fear as a means of enforcing a false "order". More to the point...to my mind, this says a great deal about "their" views of legal firearms owners/users. Would a would-be assassin worry about "concealed carry" insurance? Is a potential mass-murderer really thinking about the costs of legal defense when planning their avarice? No-"they" know that the only people using such legal defenses are those who do NOT wish to use their weapons in defense of their lives and families...but fear the consequences if they are compelled to. They're assuming (correctly, I'd wager) that without these protective policies...many will simply choose not to own/carry weapons.
