If the House impeaches the President without taking a proper vote (much like Congress as a whole enacted the Affordable Healthcare Act without an actual vote), the Senate should simply refuse to accept the Bill of Impeachment thereby precluding the trial phase of impeachment.

CPT Jack Durish so, there is no Constitutional requirement for a vote to investigate, which is where we're at now. The vote of the full House comes IF the investigation leads to a decision to impeach, and what is voted on is Articles of Impeachment.
Excuse Wikipedia as my source. Trying to get to the woods and hunt.
"First, the Congress investigates. This investigation typically begins in the House Judiciary Committee, but may begin elsewhere. For example, the Nixon impeachment inquiry began in the Senate Judiciary Committee. The facts that led to impeachment of Bill Clinton were first discovered in the course of an investigation by Independent Counsel Kenneth Starr.
Second, the House of Representatives must pass, by a simple majority of those present and voting, articles of impeachment, which constitute the formal allegation or allegations. Upon passage, the defendant has been "impeached"."

LTC Eugene Chu thanks. Seems the Republican version of this "commercial" would lead the ignorant to believe that the lack of a full House vote to commence the current inquires/investigations, rather than a full House vote if the findings support the House drafting and, then holding a full House vote on Articles of Impeachment.
Admitting there isn't a requirement for a full House vote to investigate would detract from the President's claim that any investigation is illegitimate, witch hunt, deep state, trying to invalidate the 2016 election, and any other BS, made up, fabricated lie to distract from the real issue.
Guiliani said he was acting (with regard to Ukraine) on the orders of President Trump, which, unless the President's personal lawyer is lying, is the issue. The partial summary of the President's call with the president of Ukraine supports Guiliani's claim, and the impropriety of the same is supported by the text messages between the US Envoy to Ukraine and the US Ambassador.
Trump calling an investigation into a possible criminal investigation into Guiliani's involvement in Ukraine by Trump's very own Department of Justice is laughable, and demonstrates his belief that his followers will believe anything he says, despite the obvious lack of credibility for such a ridiculous claim.
He's winning alright, on, turn over of the "best" people, number of associates indicted, convicted, or having plead guilty. He's also set a new record for the number of court cases lost in a single day of any President in history.
I predict Trump will be handing out more pardons to his coconspirators than any President in US history.

What’s taking so long? If the Democrats have the evidence then get on with it.

Your side conducted surveillance on Trump as a private citizen. Your side has made allegations against him for over 2 years now. Just get on with it. I hope you are prepared for what you will unleash upon you. LTC Eugene Chu
