That has always been one of the things that bothered me about him, he always acted like he was smarter than the average citizen and sort of preached that we should listen to him because of this so called knowledge but he made too many gaffes for me to believe he was as smart as he thought he was.

I just hate people who preach like they know best, he always sounded like he was whining as well. But heck Carter was probably the smarted intellectually of the presidents we have had in my lifetime and he couldn't make a decision to save his life.
