Thank you, my friend PO1 William "Chip" Nagel for making us aware that the "Last Black Man in San Francisco" is a film inspired by the real-life story of Jimmie Fails.
As seems typical for "gentrified" districts the authorities and realtors, bankers etc encouraged the inhabitants to move out so that gentrification could begin.
Jimmie Fails tried to reclaim the Victorian-style house where his family once lived, in the now-gentrified Fillmore District.
"It was blacker, you know," Fails says. "It used to be like out of a Spike Lee flick or something: boom boxes and dice games. It wasn't this ... dog park."

Gentrification had overtaken many areas, making them unaffordable for the average person.

Good Morning everyone , am very satisfied to learn about this great story concerning my grand father who live in san Francisco long years ago before I come to this ground , then we are so much one people living together in this beautiful country USA .
