Agreed. He was a puppet master and the world was his stage. He kept the Russians and British in the fight. The Germans, Italians, and Japanese made a fatal mistake by drawing us into the war. They could not comprehend the vast industrial and military might that would be unleashed upon them.

PO3 Bob McCord - It does appear that the common and collective memory of the US sacrificing has atrophied around the world with the exception of the Netherlands. The Filipino elite considers us as a colonial power despite the fact we sacrificed thousands to free them from Japanese occupation.
