Since we already know what was reported was untrue, Duffleblog's follow up is very timely.

Unfortunately we never know what is really true or not, this is a very disturbing report that should be looked into without bias and made right. Respectfully.

Unfortunately Trump suggested in a statement that someone did submit the request without his knowledge and how that’s unfortunate. So it’s not that it didn’t happen but a question as to who did with malicious intent or as a joke?

True yet after reading this part of his statement you have to wonder why one would get the idea or motivation to submit such a request.

"Now, somebody did it because they thought I didn't like him, OK? And they were well-meaning, I will say," he said,

Maybe he should stop bad mouthing McCain around his staff. It’s giving people bad ideas like this suspect memo.

I saw a similar story on military.com PO1 Tony Holland and was going to post it but then started thinking it would get too political. Someone didnt want Trump seeing the McCain in port. I wouldnt put it past him if he ordered it covered up.
