Enforce the laws we have, punish the law breakers, then crime will drop.

I don't know whether the Democrats want to oppose Trump or are just trying to build a fearful, cowering populace

Does not surprise me that the Democrats are flip flopping on issues. They cry about violent crimes yet they want to release criminals back on the streets were they commit the crime again. And then the Democrats blame the system. They want more gun laws yet don't want to hold the criminal responsible.
