in case you're tired of hearing about the Nancy Pelosi and Donald Trump schism, here is something to see about the friendly Canadians that have issues from Province to province.
In my opinion, Canada is the Spain of socialism and social experiments. So Canada has single-payer healthcare plans so nobody really has to pay for it's because it's covered on your regular taxes. I wish you could do this in the United States but the pharmaceutical, legal and Doctor lobbies have billions to lose if this were to be a reality so I don't think it'll happen in my lifetime.
The issues with carbon taxes, climate change and no pipelines in my backyard is tearing the country apart. In Quebec, you can't celebrate the battle of the Plains of Abraham where the British beat the French Army in the 1760s because the French- speaking Quebecers will threaten terrorism. At least in the US, you can have reenactments of the Battle of Gettysburg other Civil War battles and everybody's proud of each side's heritage. Just food for thought if you think things are very friendly in Canada. By the way, Saskatchewan and Alberta are oil-rich like Texas of Oklahoma and British Columbia is one of the most radical leftist Environmental provinces and that's why they are very alienated from Alberta and Saskatchewan.
If Hollywood and the left want to leave the USA and come to Canada, they'll find out that it isn't so harmonious up here.

Bilingual everywhere. Last flight Air Canada or WestJet, I put my headphones on full blast because it's so annoying to hear the same message on a recording in French.

That was my experience in BC as well. Very "Seattle" like all around. With friends scattered across Canada I get a small slice of politics and beliefs as well. One of my tech mentors, a CTO, is a Quebecois national as well. A great friend of mine.
You get the same separation across our nation as well. Left coasters don't understand the Civil War re-enactments very well. Having lived in a fly-over state for the last 20 years, and now in Florida, lifestyle is definitely different.
The article pretty well sums up what I see happening across the US as well. Too many echo chambers, not enough "get out and meet your neighbor".

Organizers cancel mock Battle of the Plains of Abraham | CBC News
The National Battlefields Commission has cancelled a re-enactment of the Battle of the Plains of Abraham set for Quebec City this summer due to security concerns that the mock battle could turn into a modern-day conflict.

SSgt (Join to see) the quebecers female leader wanted to break Canada into but keep the Canadian dollar. The problem is that Quebec is like a black hole in Alberta and Saskatchewan supports that provinces so if they were to secedes from Canada they would be bankrupt like Venezuela overnight.

During my days in Colorado Springs, I visited Alberta (Calgary) a few times and the people were always very friendly. Beautiful country and a positive experience.

Calgary now has Carl's Jr and black and white cop cars. It is becoming more like Colorado. It even has PBS from Eastern Washington.
