The Boulder ordinance defines “assault weapon” to include semi-automatic rifles, pistols, and shotguns that feature the usual list of terrifying accessories (pistol grips, folding stocks, etc.).
Since when are pistols assault weapons? And this is the usual sort of stupidity brought to you by people who have no knowledge of weapons.

A safe bet would be to just ignore it. Ignorance of the law appears to be en vogue, from elected officials, black-robed judges appointed-for-life and local law enforcement. What are they going to do? Go door-to-door?
