This is the only time in my life that I "needed" an AR15/M-16 A1 or 2. As a senior weapons instructor, I helped train thousands of soldiers and a few thousand West Point cadets. We "needed" these weapons because we were trained to the standard of "one shot - one kill". These weapons were and are designed to kill fast in wartime not in our schools, hospitals or shopping malls. They belong in the arms room not in somebody's bed room.

1LT Peter Duston - For a Senior Weapons Instructor and a former member of the US Army, in which you swore an oath to defend the Constitution of the United States, in which there are 10, not 9, original Amendments which are commonly called "The Bill of Rights, and which also includes the 2nd Amendment, your statement shows a serious lack of commitment to your oath. I have weapons, and I used to have an "AR' style semi-auto that I have since passed to my son, and you know what? Not one of my weapons has ever gotten up, walked off and killed someone. It's not the weapon, Peter, it's the idiots who commit crimes with them. Banning semi-auto "AR" style weapons will not stop those Idiots from killing someone; they just find another weapon to do so with. Until you recognize this and stop blaming AR's, we have nothing to talk about.

Exactly. I don't give that information out to anyone. It is none of their business.
