I am very proud to have spent over half of my military career as part of the 86th IBCT. And on occasion have helped grade some of the easier courses. The best part was when a student thought MWS was going to be "easy" because it was just a National Guard run school. And they never realize the attrition rate for MWS is neck and neck with Ranger School.
Good to see "DH" SFC Mclaughlin voiced in the article. He and I were both in A co 3-172 in Afghanistan.

CSM David Porterfield
Its manned and run by Guard soldiers but it's actually a course under the auspices of the Army Infantry school.
