Letise Dennis yeah, they left off my wife's all time favorite: "Seeing some wife of a deployed member whining on the evening news that her husband has been deployed for XX time". I was deployed for over 60% of my last 12 years. My wife never complained. She pulled up her big girl pants and got on with raising our children, being a faithful, AWESOME spouse, and taking care of all the things I couldn't wile I was gone! I consider her to be the best blessing in my entire life! BTW: 35 years and counting and still both of our first marriage!

My wife changes channels whenever there is anything on tv about some military member coming home after being gone for 'so long'.

MSgt Stephen Council I'm with you and MCPO Roger Collins, coming up at 50 years and she did a complete remodel of basement and install of a fireplace while I was remote. Not much she can't do.

#5 The comment, “Oh, you are a stay-at-home parent… that must be nice!” used to send her to the moon
#8 The sympathetic tilt of the head and the “I just don’t know how you do it. I could never live “that way” when someone learns you are a military spouse. She used to tell them yep...takes a strong woman...not for everybody...probably not you.
#10 Being called a “dependent“! First time she was called a dependent (at Mather AFB) she went outside her head and I think folks in the 7th fleet blushed from her comments heard around the world as the shockwaves rocked their ships..I thought they had released the Kraaken.
The rest she heard but they didn't bother her too much.

Being called Mrs."Cowboy" use to steam my wife up. As she said, she did have a name.

SGT David A. 'Cowboy' Groth - Absolutley and when they called her Mrs Shuttleworth...that really set her off...she would retort...I am not his mother, I am his wife!

I have the somewhat unique perspective of been both a military spouse and the military member
So normally I wouldn’t even respond to a spouse question
But after 26 years of marriage 28 years in the military watching my wife deploy and having to deploy why she stayed back I’m reasonably confident in my answers The majority of those things listed if that really is bothering her spouse they need to grow some thicker skin and worry about things that are important
A few of them share they ring true
And a few of them are accurate for both spouse and military member Alike
