I believe just career ending. He reported himself directly up the chain taking full responsibility. Hopefully as dumb as that was the Marine Officer will learn from it! Nice of local Australians

No, his career is, sadly over. While the Australian Authorities cut him some major slack, the Marine Corps will not.

My BC told me of the time he was driving intoxicated and was stopped by the MPs. They drove him home. That is Old Army.
