Thank you my friend SGT (Join to see) for sharing the music video of The Beatles studio performance of "Hey Jude Take 9" in honor of the fact that on September 28,1968, The Beatles started a nine week run at No.1 on the US singles chart with 'Hey Jude'.
Number 9 figured prominently in a few Beatles songs including revolution Number 9. :-)
Hey Jude was written by Paul McCartney to sooth the grief John Lennon's 5-year-old son Julian to over his dad divorcing his mother Cynthia Lennon who planned to marry Yoko Ono.

"Hey Jude Take 9"
Lyrics
"Hey Jude, don't make it bad
Take a sad song and make it better
Remember to let her into your heart
Then you can start to make it better

Hey Jude, don't be afraid
You were made to go out and get her
The minute you let her under your skin
Then you begin to make it better

And anytime you feel the pain, hey Jude, refrain
Don't carry the world upon your shoulders
For well you know that it's a fool who plays it cool
By making his world a little colder
Nah nah nah nah, nah nah nah nah

Hey Jude, don't let me down
You have found her, now go and get her
Remember to let her into your heart
Then you can start to make it better (better, better, better, better, better ahh)

Nah nah nah nah nah nah, nah nah nah
Hey Jude
Nah nah nah nah nah nah, nah nah nah
Hey Jude
Nah nah nah nah nah nah, nah nah nah
Hey Jude
Nah nah nah nah nah nah, nah nah nah
Hey Jude
Nah nah nah nah nah nah, nah nah nah
Hey Jude
Nah nah nah nah nah nah, nah nah nah
Hey Jude
Nah nah nah nah nah nah, nah nah nah
Hey Jude
Nah nah nah nah nah nah, nah nah nah
Hey Jude
Nah nah nah nah nah nah, nah nah nah
Hey Jude"

Rare Julian Lennon audio of him talking about "A piece of music he inherited"... Hey Jude.

First time I ever heard this song I was on my way back to college enroute to my first flight training assignment in Texas. Planned to hit my old haunts, a football game, spend time with friends taking grad classes and then head on to Texas. If memory serves I was somewhere around DC when it came on the radio. Initial reaction was, boy that's a long song, so can't say it was love at first hearing, that came later.

Nice share! Talented bunch, the Fab Four! This song was released into the world before I was... this recording looked to be almost a sole effort from Paul McCartney, the others didn't really come in singing until the end. But it's a great tune nevertheless.
