Thank you my friend CWO3 Dennis M. for making us aware that after a couple centuries "the wreck of Captain Cook's HMS Endeavour may have finally been pinpointed, 17,000 kilometers (10,500 miles) from the country it is most famously associated with" Australia.

LTC Stephen F. I consider myself a fairly educated history buff, especially stories of the war for our independence. But, I never knew that the British had the "Endeavour" and that they used it during the Rev war and deliberately sunk it to block ports in the South near the end of the war. HMAS Endeavour should have been a highly regarded memorial and a prized relic to the Crown of England. But they scuttled her as if she was nothing better than a garbage scowl to block Colonial shipping to the American Navy from entering from the sea in the South. They must have been very desperate!

I would guess so, SSG Donald H "Don" Bates the story says it is in shallow water, soooooooo?
