Lived there.
Takes a while to get used to idea of all the things that can kill you. They told me, "Aw, yeah, no worries, mate."
As for guns, had a colleague who would not holiday in America for fear of getting shot. I told them, "You watch too much TV."
Great people. Beautiful country. Loved my time there.

Something is going to kill you one way or another. I'll take my chances with the things I can see. Although i did live in Australia for 6 years.

During. 1995-2001. I received a letter in the mail from the Northern Territory Police informing me that my semi automatic .22 rifle with a 7 round magazine was now an illegal weapon, I had 30 days to take it to a gun dealer for valuation and turn it into the police.
That letter is why I am completely against any form of gun registration, the only reason to register guns is to confiscate them at a later date.
