Thank you my friend TSgt Joe C. that on August 1, 1774 dissenting British minister Joseph Priestly, author of Observations on Civil Liberty and the Nature and Justice of the War with America, discovered oxygen while serving as a tutor to the sons of American sympathizer William Petty, 2nd Earl of Shelburne, at Bowood House in Wiltshire, England.

The 7th grade student and his two companions developed a well-thought through video IMHO,

Year 8 (7th grade) school chemistry project by me (Damon), Matthew and Elliott.
This includes a background of middle age chemistry, a biography of Priestley, and a thorough explanation of his discovery of oxygen, as well as fizzy drinks, the pencil rubber and the conducticity of graphite. It also includes a short demonstration of his famous experiment and a fun competition, as well as information on his main rival Lavoisier.

And don’t forget the occasional hot dog, onions and mustard and some nice whole potato chips.. (the pharmacist who owned the store made sure his Soda ftn clerk fixed it so people didn’t share chips... ‘quite unsanitary’.. would gladly give another basket lined with waxed paper...
