North Korea 'working on new missiles'

Trump did do n o thing to curb the North Korean threat. Childish insults followed by fawning and slobbering over a monster are not actions to stop that monster. Niether are self serving PR stunts. and thatbis all he produce from this.
The north Koreans have wanted validation as a world power sinve the 40s that has been one of thier prime goals. US Presidents have been avoiding doing that and using it as a carrot sick then Trump gave away the carrot and recieved nothing of any value for it.
He also helped them by protecting A major Chinese company that was selling US made tech to North Korea and Iran, and according to him he did so to save Chinese jobs.
The anology about the guy in the area fails since Trump risked notheong, he just the clown in the third ring of his own circus.

1stSgt Nelson Kerr - The undeniable fact that North Korea has nuclear weapons ends the discussion. North Korea is a world power. They currently have the power to hit the western most territories of the US and to hit our allies in the region. Furthermore they have the ability to export the technology. NORTH KOREA IS IN FACT A FORCE TO BE RECKONED WITH. Denying it is as useful as denying that a train is coming while standing on the tracks. North Korea didn't need validation. What benefit is there to that "validation?" That validation and a buck won't get Kim a loaf of bread at the supermarket.

North Korea is a fourth rate to be charitable, nation not a world po ower. Just like Pakistan is. ZTE is part of the Korea issue since they were bailed for breaking sanctions to North Korea and Trump let the off. Sanctions can not work if the nation pushing the is hypocrtical and does not enforce them itself.
