Growing up in New England in the 50s you knew everything about Ted Williams, including this story. Great share.

Ted Williams was a class act, great baseball player, Marine flight instructor in WWll, Marine combat pilot in Korea. Among the millions who recognized his talent was Sears, Roebuck and Co., placing his name on their signature line of baseball and sporting goods. Pictured is a Winchester Model 94 , glove manufactured for Sears. PO1 Tony Holland

Roger, that. He had an endorsement contract with Sears, for years. He had a great autograph, His writing teacher was probably very proud of his nice cursive signature.
