Evangelicals and Christians in general are not a minority in America and I'm so sick of hearing political factions and writers making this false implication. What does it say about a Christian of any distinction when they are willing to turn the other cheek or look the other way in order to achieve their self interest goals? People keep saying our country was created based on Christianity but that's not 100% accurate. Indeed the early colonists were a mixture of Quakers, Puritans, Catholics, and Anglicans mostly escaping persecution from somewhere but the American political system was founded on the simple basis of the "law of man" written by European men who claimed it was God's will. It's a good thing they included separation of Church and State when it comes to running government. I'm sure they disagreed back then which branch of Christian faith should be considered the majority.

This is a see saw and getting it right is tough. However, our rights come from God and our nation was built on that so it is important that we respect and acknowledge that relationship
