in the British army they have "bat men" to handle such menial chores. usually a lower ranked enlisted man.
in the US military we have evolved beyond that.

Most BGs are fairly humble in dealings. Two were not while I was in and it ended their careers. Personal servitude by enlisted, after hours, for parties and menial work in their Quarters is a no-no. Aides can be expected to serve in many ways, but with limits.
