There is nothing preventing the Catholic Church from banning among Catholics, why try to force the rest of the country to adhere to a set of beliefs that is not theirs?

I gather you have read nothing about the history of the Roman Catholic church? They had to be forced to stop executing people who said thing they did not like. the even made a man who enslaved native and brutalized them to "convert' them a saint in the recent past.

1stSgt Nelson Kerr - I'd like to believe that organizations like the Catholic Church are in fact capable of reforming themselves, and given the number of progressive Catholics fighting for human rights around the world I'm inclined to believe that such a thing is possible.

They are capable of doing so, in some as they have done so. But on matters of marriage, medicine and a few other areas they have not moved at at all. And seek to enfirce tjier rules on everyone by law ib case lIke rhus one. And the the still endorse very openly the monstrosities in thier past and as I said make monsters saints.

The world has always been a very cruel place and all the different organizations and groups in the past have committed horrible crimes against humanity.

Now with that being said I think the simple answer is a separation of church and state that way only people who attended that church are affected by its rules. Since this is in the Philippines (PI) I personally don’t care what they do because it is none of my concern I hate it when outsiders try to tell me what is wrong with America and I would hope you do to.
