Thank you my friend SP5 Mark Kuzinski for sharing the soothing music video of frome The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, "Into the West" sung by Annie Lennox

This 'voice' of this song is Galadriel's and Annie Lennox was chosen because it was felt her voice had a maturity that reflected Galadriel's long years in Middle-earth. It is a song of comfort for one who is leaving this world.

lyrics:
Lay down your sweet and weary head
Night is falling. You have come to journey's end.
Sleep now. Dream of the ones who came before.
They are calling from across a distant shore.
Why do you weep? What are these tears upon your face?
Soon you will see all of your fears will pass away.
Safe in my arms, you're only sleeping.

What can you see on the horizon?
Why do the white gulls call?
Across the sea, a pale moon rises.
The ships have come to carry you home.
And all will turn to silver glass.
A light on the water, all souls pass.

Hope fades into the world of night
Through shadows falling out of memory and time.
Don't say we have come now to the end.
White shores are calling. You and I will meet again.
And you'll be here in my arms, just sleeping.

What can you see on the horizon?
Why do the white gulls call?
Across the sea, a pale moon rises.
The ships have come to carry you home.

And all will turn to silver glass
A light on the water, grey ships pass
Into the West.'

Temperature and weather been all over da place today.
Hot. Cold. Sun. Rain.
Rented a car to come home to Fargo from Dickinson ND today.
Got quite the turd floater in Dickinson while cleaning out my truck to go home.
Ran back into it and dealt with probably the nastiest storm I have ever driven a car in for a solid 40 miles.
Sat and watched what almost became a tornado for quite some time. There were even real storm chaser vehicles out there.
Wild. Been gone from home for 31 days. Never before.
NEVER again. It's just wrong.
Thanks for the Lord of the rings piece brother.
Good stuff.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - Nothing this year really. We never had a lot of snow and we had some slow and go melts. A heavy rain on top of a deep snowpack in April was the first one that really blew us away.
Ground frozen, nowhere for the water to go but towards the river.
Thousands of square miles trying to drain through something the size of a large county ditch.

That's good to hear. We left in 93 but daughter had school friends who were wiped out by the 97 flood in Grand Forks. Since then always worry when spring thaw comes.
