I'm calling BS on the command team paying for the decals. Additionally, they also have to be put on the vehicles which the person doing it has to be paid. I believe that taxpayer money was used and it 110% should not have been. Pittsburgh has some of, if not the worst roads in the entire country, but yeah let's waste some money on this. I concur with you my friend SSG(P) (Join to see). Police vehicles should not be used to promote any views. They should be clean of advertising.
Police cars and policemen and women need to be seen as those who protect the neighborhoods.
Putting anything which distracts from that purpose needless endangers them IMHO.

I saw a lot in the US Army infantry that shocked me as homosexuals acted out and were not disciplined for violating the UCMJ. It caused discontent in the ranks. [this was before Don't Ask Don't Tell and afterwards.]
I have seen more than enough death and knew enough murderers when I was young to recognize that many enjoy killing for the fun of it. That seems to have increased since I was young in the 1960s.
While not directly related, I was molested and threatened with death by drowning in a crowded public pool well before I was 10 years old.

I also do not believe it is appropriate to put anything on police cars that does not deal directly with their mission.
