A very sad story. He did do it to himself. Did you know that he would not be able to come to Canada with a drug conviction and anybody here on rallypoint who has a DUI cannot come to Canada either?

This is kind of a catch-22 but he did it to himself. It's too bad that he got hurt in TJ. Baja California and other states bordering the United States require a one-star general approval to go visit because of the danger involved with the drug war that's been on going there for over a decade. He lived, or was deported to, a very dangerous part of the world. It is very sad that Mexico continues to not take care of its people.

Drugs and alcohol affect my family. I have two step daughters that are in their 20s who are both recovering addicts and alcoholics, High School dropouts and who live on welfare in Canada because the rules are so liberal.

My Wife and I do not drink or smoke. My wife binge smoked, from her older kids continuos drug and alcohol problems, until she had a brain aneurism in 2015. Since then, she stopped smoking.

Last night, my Wife said "No" to one of them asking her for money(Both are on welfare yet they smoke cigs and do nothing, mostly and stay up all night and sleep all day) and another one went to a 420 (pot smoking) convention in Edmonton and suffered a seizure. The Edmonton paramedics had called the house (while I was talking to my wife on the phone) since the other dropout daugther was downtown at a 420 Convention. My wife explained the paramedics how we had been trying to have her go seek addiction treatment for drugs and alcohol and how is she had become upset when she was told that she uses opioids and marijuana. She claims she does not use them anymore yet she was at a 420 convention. My wife declined to picking her up from that location downtown. She explained that she suffered a brain aneurism a couple years ago due to the stress they put on her. My Wife told the paramedics that her daughter got herself there and she is old enough to take care of herself and she can get herself out of there without our help. We had given them many chances and they, as addicts, just take advantage of us. Drugs and alcohol have devasted our family and we are reminded of it daily by our two failed daughters who stay up all night and sleep all day. Neither of them try to find employment. Welfare has enabled them to live on the edge and smoke cigs and ponder their next move.

I feel sorry for this prior service Marine but we have drug problems everywhere do to people like him. If I had my way, and if I were present, I would send a couple divisions to Mexico and Latin America to take the war to the drug lords personally because we have millions of addicts in Canada and the United States that are driving the demand and destabilizing governments like Mexico, Honduras, El Salvador, Colombia and other countries who are fighting for survival to maintain some kind of government yet they are outgunned by drug lords that have the money and the weapons and the influence.

Politicians in the USA and Canada (who I know use drugs) want to legalize it but those idiots don't know how it is to deal with them. My Wife did not drink or do drugs while she was pregnant. She did not bring FAS kids to this world. They hung around others who were FAS or who had mental issues and now both have low self esteem and mental issues. Putting them into Catholic School and Air Force Jr ROTC did not help. Stupid by choice and not by accident. Both are now stupid by addictions. This deported Marine just helped enable others to ruin their lives.

He was caught dealing drugs and re entered the US illegally twice and was caught. I do have sympathy but I have also paid traffic rickets for speeding, and understood if I used drugs etc I could lose my means to my lively Hood. Actions have consequences. People in the military who are not US citizens should be offered citizenship if they complete honorable service. I have relatives and friends of my children who died of drug over doses. I have little sympathy for those who deal drugs.

I am pretty open with my feelings and this is no different so if you dont like it I am truly sorry but I am pretty sure I am correct.

We will keep a murdering, dope dealing sack of cat shit but a young man who volunteers to fight for our Country is no longer a immigrant anything. In my book that man is a great American and my brother in arms. We dont deport our combat vets. In my book if they strap it on for America they are Americans. So with all that being said yes I am fucking angry.

RIP brother, thank you for your service and sacrifice Semper Fi, DOL
