Thanks Maj Marty Hogan for letting us know that March 25 is the anniversary of the birth of former U.S. Navy Petty Officer Second Class [1957-1961] American folk music singer-songwriter, guitarist and a film and television actor Hoyt Wayne Axton.
He served on the USS Ranger (CVA-61) from 1959 to 1961 as an AC-0000-Air Traffic Controller.

Rest in peace Hoyt Wayne Axton!
"Written and recorded by Hoyt Axton. Hoyt did not record "The Pusher" himself until he included it on his 1971 album, "Joy to the World". Made popular by Steppenwolf's 1968 verison and the movie "Easy Rider", which used the song to accompany the opening scenes.
Axton spent some time struggling with cocaine addiction and several of his songs, including "The Pusher", "Snowblind Friend", and "No-No Song", partly reflect his negative drug experiences."

I always thought it was Three Dog Night (Joy to the World) and Ringo Starr (No No Song) that were responsible for those hits, Maj Marty Hogan. It's been an educational Sunday.

Just a little reminded here and there and usually I can bring something up of them.I can do mess like that, recall stuff fem a while ago but can't remember my grandchildren's birthdays. I remember T.O.'s and AFR to this very day. Anyway have a frat day and remember you are the Fireman.
