"Operation Junction City was an 82-day military operation conducted by United States and Republic of Vietnam (RVN or South Vietnam) forces begun on 22 February 1967 during the Vietnam War. It was the largest U.S. airborne operation since Operation Varsity in March 1945, the only major airborne operation of the Vietnam War, and one of the largest U.S. operations of the war.[7] The operation was named after Junction City, Kansas, home of the operation's commanding officer. History is fascinating, when that past serves a purpose in our lives. The world wars; the Korean War; the Vietnam war; Grenada; Haiti; Somalia; Middle East; Operations Desert Storm and Shield, and; Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom are all great history, if we have gained a wealth of knowledge from them moving forward. Our past of KKK and skinheads don't have an audience much anymore, because it is no longer of interest in the eyes of terror.

Thanks SGT (Join to see) for reminding us about Operation Junction City which began on 22 February 1967. Airborne operations were advocated by some high-ranking officers even while air mobile operations were a mainstay in getting sizable forces with material to remote areas.
