Thanks Maj Marty Hogan for letting us know that February 18 is the anniversary of the birth of American actor, film producer, dancer, and singer John Joseph Travolta who first garnered national attention in the 1970s, after appearing on the television series Welcome Back, Kotter (1975–1979) and starring in the box office successes Saturday Night Fever (1977) and Grease (1978).
Happy Birthday John Travolta with many happy returns!

Sadly long ago he embraced Scientology which was founded by the late science fiction writer L. Ron Hubbard. Hopefully he will renounce Scientology and embrace Christ.

"Once up a time, John Travolta was the coolest dude on the planet. In recent years, though, he's gained a reputation for being, you know, maybe just a little… weird. And we're not just talking about Battlefield Earth. "

I have always enjoyed watching John Travolta, Maj Marty Hogan. For me however, his personal life, especially his devotion to the practice of Scientology, always lingers in the background as I watch and it takes some of the enjoyment out of the event.

I knew Tom Cruise was into Scientology, Had forgotten that Travolta was also. Perhaps I heard it somewhere and simply discarded it. I agree that actors/actress personal life can be a turn off on the big screen but I try and separate the two. If I didn't I would probably never go see another movie that was directed by someone other than Clint Eastwood. But I agree it does negate some of the entertainment value.

Great share Capt Marty Hogan.
