Thanks Maj Marty Hogan for letting us know that February 2 is the anniversary of the birth of British civil servant and cartographer Eliza Gladys "Millvina" Dean.
I expect that Millvina Dean was reminded millions of times about the RMS Titanic on 15 April 1912 disaster. As a 2-month old baby she probably had minimal remembrances of that disaster but she was thankful about the gallantry of those who stayed behind so that she and her mom could board the lifeboat.
Rest in peace Millvina Dean!
"When Belfast man Keith Drury travelled to Southampton in 2009 to meet Millvina Dean, the last remaining survivor of the sinking of the Titanic, he didn't realise he would be one of the last people to speak to her.
For sadly Millvina died just a few weeks later, aged 97."

This lady led a blessed life from the beginning to the end. Even on a life boat there was no assurance of survival due to the temperatures which were slightly below freezing at the time of the accident.
With little time to gather things that would serve to protect them against the elements, most went with just what was convenient to grab. The Lord watched over Millvina Dean that night and ultimately granted her a long life of 97 years. Thank you for posting this bit of human interest history and have a great day.
