The Army that Changed WWII?
The Finish Army in 1939 fought a lopsided war against the Soviets. A war that was supposed to last no more than two weeks. 100 Days later and the Soviets are shy 350,000 troops. Only a massive push by the Soviets would force Finland to the Table. But the outcome of this had huge impacts around the world. The Nazi's saw how weak the Russian Military was. It led to future Nazi incursions on the Continent, But it also had an affect on the US Military as well. Up until the 1980's you could still find Winter Warfare Manuals referencing battles and tactics used by the FInns. Finland in 1939-1940 was the equivalent to Leonides and the 300 at Thermopylae.
