The Young Turks

From what I gather reading a couple of articles at random the recommendations from a panel, of mostly Indians, wants to put ownership of Indian lands in the hands of Native Americans (novel idea) - thus cutting red tape imposed by federal gvt ownership so that Indian Nations can more easily either drill on their own land or lease it out. Reservation lands were put under gvt ownership to keep the land out of the hands of the white man. Regulations were slapped on land use to such an extent that even the Indian Nations are greatly restricted and handicapped in drilling. The end goal seems to make the oil more accessible to Indians who can benefit. If privatizing Indian lands means passing ownership of that land to Native Indians, some may be in favor of the idea.

As an basic historian knows the Young Turks were thugs who slaughtered whole families of Armenians while the Great War raged on.
