After Charlottesville, some are asking what to do about 'Gone With the Wind'
It may be the most popular American film of all time, but, like other Confederate monuments, "Gone With the Wind" is undergoing some reappraisal in light of heightened racial tensions and awareness in the US.

Thanks for sharing PO1 William "Chip" Nagel. It is interesting that the Charlottesville, Va clash earlier this year between Antifa and its allies and some radical right wing folks as well as many more people who were trying to advance free speech in the stifled atmosphere of this nation, has encouraged a church to discuss race relations.
Of course since it is Colorado this is not very surprising.
If this was a 1960's conversation it would be more impressive IMHO.
In any event happy new year's eve.

If you look At some of out More 'Conservative" members here the conversazione is necessary NOW.
Start with the ones who were OK with Roy Moore saying the amendments that gave people the tight to vote and the right not to be slaves were the source of many problems. Or the folks that don't see the problem with the battle flag of an Army dedicated to protecting slavery might be offensive to the decedents of those slave
The problem has not gone away, it is just that bigots are more careful in their wording and methods.
