Police: Sailor Recently Deployed on USS Nimitz Killed Wife, Himself

That is very sad news SFC William Farrell that 23-year-old Navy Seaman Francisco Rivera stabbed his 22-yera-old wife Marie Aurora Rivera dead on Dec. 13, 2017 and the hung himself.
This murder occurred just three days after Rivera returned home from a six-month deployment aboard the USS Nimitz aircraft carrier which had been deployed at sea since June, 2017 sailing more than 78,000 miles and participating in multiple operations, including some 1,300 combat flights into Iraq and Syria from the Persian Gulf, according to the Navy.
It is very probable that Francisco Rivera is destined for eternal punishment.
The fact that he committed a hot-blood murder and a cold blood suicide by hanging shows premeditation which may well mean his heart was stone.
Rest in peace Marie Aurora Rivera.

SFC William Farrell Interesting article. A lot of things can happen to a marriage during a six month plus deployment.

This is very sad. Not saying that alcohol was a factor. For those who are in grief right now, stay away from drugs or alcohol. The whole crew must be sad and same with the families as well. Stay sober, speak to your chaplain, call Military One Source. The real victims are the survivors. I'm so sorry for the wife of the Sailor.
