Thanks for letting us know Maj Marty Hogan that December 1 is the anniversary of the birth of American stand-up comedian, actor, and social critic Richard Franklin Lennox Thomas Pryor who among others things made free-basing famous :-)
I didn't appreciate his cruder side but I appreciated his ability to make the commonplace very funny.
Rest in peace Richard Pryor!
"Classic skit "Cocaine", recorded in the 1970's. Richard Pryor was known for uncompromising examinations of racism and topical contemporary issues, which employed colorful vulgarities, and profanity, as well as racial epithets. He reached a broad audience with his trenchant observations and storytelling style. He is widely regarded as one of the most important and influential stand-up comedians of his era."
