In Flanders Field was a poem written by Canadian Army Medical Doctor Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae, MD (1872-1918) as he reflected on what he witnessed in the great war.
This is a music video of a choral groups singing this poem. The tune is pleasant but the words are somber.
May you each have a thoughtful Veterans Day.
Up until 1954, November 11 was Armistice Day in honor of those who fought and those who were killed in the Great War which is known as WWI now.

Thank you LTC Stephen F.. I love that poem and I believe it is the first time I have heard it set to music. I hope your Veterans Day was filled with honor, knowing you served your country well.
