I had no idea that Marie Curie became so contaminated by radioactive particles. I had thought she had had a normal lifespan for she lived into her late 60's. Maybe she glowed in the dark.

1stSgt Nelson Kerr - So true 1stSgt Nelson Kerr. Everyone dies, that's the nature of our existence. It is not how, or when we die that matters, it is what we did with the time we were given. She used her time towards an end that earned her respect and recognition well beyond her lifespan.

Yes "the first unspoken rule of chemistry is not to eat everything you make, but Carl Scheele didn't get the memo. Scheele was studying chemistry at a time when oxygen was still being referred to as "fire air," so there are definitely some allowances to be made for his proclivities towards tasting all of his discoveries, but the all-day chemical buffet didn't fare too well on his health. Scheele discovered a number of elements on the Periodic Table, like oxygen, tungsten and barium, before he finally succumbed to a rapid succession of diseases associated with his untested and unsafe lab snacks."

SFC Jim Ruether I have a dumb and now av22 year old dropout druggie stepdaughter who broke her wrist 5 min after we told her not to use her druggie friends trampoline since it did not have an outer safety net to keep you from bouncing out. The science of stupid people/kids.
