Very sad day for music. Remember their music very well. Know for sure saw Buddy Holly on American Bandstand, pretty sure saw the others on the show as well.

BUDDY HOLLY - Peggy sue - Vidéo clip
Original Buddy holly 59's
I still listen to Buddy Holly all the time on my way to and from work. He had a lot of hits, and they still hold up well after all these years. The sound is still very sharp on those recordings on the greatest hits CD I have.

Yup, back in the days when talent rather than a good sound man and synthesizers made you famous.

Thanks SGT (Join to see) for reminding us of the day that Buddy Holly, the Big Bopper, and Richie Valens were killed in a plane crash in 1959.
Since you mentioned it, here is Bye, Bye American Pie sung by Don McLean https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tr-BYVeCv6U

Buddy Holly was great. Lucky to have seen "Buddy" when it came to San Diego earlier this year. Lots of nostalgia!
