The Chinese have built their first aircraft carrier from keel to stern while using their purchased carrier to train up air wings. While hardly a formidable force, the Chinese are building up their blue water navy into something to be reckoned with by the world's finest navy. Definitely a trend to keep watching! LTC Stephen F. Thanks fro reminding us SSgt Robert Marx that the initial domestically built aircraft carrier, temporarily named the Type 001A, with a displacement of 70,000 tons, is 315 meters long, 75 meters wide and has a cruising speed of 31 knots is being prepared for launch in the next few to coincide with the Communist Chain Navy's anniversary.

yeah that is not happening, the one they have took three months to make a two week transit then on the first day of air ops a month latter the lost half of their air power. The USS America will have five times the air power and it is not even a carrier
